NEWS RELEASE

Analytic Services Supplies Expertise for AMA’s Full Spectrum Text on Mass Fatality Events

Arlington, VA – Analytic Services Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Death in Large Numbers: The Science, Policy and Management of Mass Fatality Events, a first-of-its kind book on the issues surrounding mass fatalities. The book is the result of an endeavor between analysts from its ANSER operating unit and the American Medical Association (AMA). The publication offers multi-disciplinary information for the preparedness community, including policy makers, medical and public health practitioners, emergency management professionals, and others involved in planning for and responding to catastrophic health events.

“Due to the variety of large scale unpredictable manmade and natural threats we face, adequately preparing for the management of a mass fatality event is critical to our Nation’s resilience. We are deeply appreciative of the efforts of ANSER’s contributors, especially the book’s editor, Dr. Elin Gursky, as well as chapter authors Drs. Gary Gackstetter, Gary Huckabay, Susan Jones, Principal Analyst Ralph Miller and Analyst Sweta Batni in producing this exceptional policy guidance,” said Dr. Ruth David, Analytic Services CEO.
