Arlington, VA –Richard Vanderlinden, Manager of ANSER’s Security Policy Division within its Mission Assurance Directorate, is the coauthor with Craig Benedict of FM 3-37.2, Antiterrorism: A Doctrinal Guide for Preventing Terrorist Attacks, published in the Spring Edition of Military Police. The article reviews the 2011 U.S. Army Antiterrorism Field Manual (FM 3-37.2). Mr. Vanderlinden and Mr. Benedict spoke to the need to reflect on the doctrine’s purpose in order to gauge unit success and optimally guide long-term implementation.
Within the same issue of Military Police Mr. Vanderlinden also contributed to eGuardian: Threat and Suspicious Activity Reporting. eGuardian™ is the FBI’s system for suspicious activity reporting (SAR) which the Department of Defense’s (DoD) adopted as its SAR reporting and tracking system. With the assistance of staff from the Army’s Antiterrorism and Law Enforcement Branches within the Office of the Provost Marshal General, this particular piece pointed to eGuardian’s history at the DoD and the Army’s administration of the program.
"It’s been more than 10 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11th but we still need to harness every available resource and maintain our vigilance. Our assistance to the Army and other elements of our government supports a coordinated effort against terrorism," said Analytic Services Inc. CEO Dr. Ruth David.
