Experience: Before joining the Institute in 2010, Katie worked for Rift Valley Children’s Village, an international aid organization focused on civilian and economic development. Since arriving, she’s played a crucial role supporting FEMA’s Public Private Partnerships program, applying her business and analytical skills to help develop and implement the initiative. Other duties have included work on resilience initiatives for the Borders and Maritime Division of DHS’s Science and Technology Directorate. Katie has a bachelors of administration in Entrepreneurial Management from Texas Christian University and a masters of science in International Management from Sussex University.
