Arlington, VA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Administrator, Craig Fugate addressed Analytic Services at the latest installment of its Distinguished Speaker Series. In his capacity as FEMA’s Administrator, Mr. Fugate is responsible for over 7,500 employees, an annual budget exceeding $10 billion and ensuring for the timely support of our Nation’s citizens and first responders in times of crises.
Administrator Fugate’s presentation was titled National Preparedness and focused on coordinating and synchronizing emergency preparedness, disaster mitigation and emergency response across the federal, state and local apparatus. “FEMA is just one part of the team, which is why we coordinate regularly with all our partners at state and local government, the private sector, non-profit organizations, and the general public to prepare for, respond to and recover from all hazards. The whole community plays a part in building our resilience to disasters,” said Administrator Fugate
“Resilient emergency preparedness and response are major focuses at Analytic Services and the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute. The insight provided in Administrator Fugate’s address will certainly aid our efforts to anticipate challenges and take action”, said Dr. Ruth David, Analytic Services CEO.

The Distinguished Speakers Series provides a platform for significant national and international figures to share experiences and ideas, provoke thought and facilitate dialogue about crucial domestic and global issues. Presentations have covered topics ranging from national or homeland security, intelligence, energy, environment and healthcare.
