ANSER Announces Appointment of New Vice President and Executive Director

Falls Church, VA (December 1, 2016) – ANSER is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Hopkins as Vice President and Executive Director of the National Security Group.  Mr. Hopkins succeeds Mr. Karl Semancik who is retiring in January 2017.

Mr. Hopkins has over 26 years of comprehensive experience as a business leader and manager at ANSER. He served as Director of ANSER’s Science & Technology Mission Area and prior to his promotion to Mission Area Director, he managed ANSER’s Systems Engineering Division, the Intelligence Division, the International Aerospace Division, and the Space Technology Division. Mr. Hopkins directed a multidisciplinary team of policy, operations, technical, and research analysts and managed projects supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Agencies, the military Services, and other Federal organizations such as NASA, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Intelligence Community.

Senior Vice President and Executive Director Karl Semancik congratulated and welcomed Mr. Hopkins by saying “I have worked side by side with Steve for eight years and I have every confidence that he will help grow ANSER’s business in the years to come.” Mr. Hopkins stated that “he looks forward to joining ANSER’s leadership team and continuing his commitment to public service and protecting the nation.”
