Analytic Services Hosts Cathleen Berrick as the May Installment of its Distinguished Speaker Series

Arlington, VA – Cathleen Berrick, Managing Director for Homeland Security and Justice at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) addressed Analytic Services as the latest installment of its Distinguished Speaker Series. “Serving Congress and the American People” was the title of Ms. Berrick’s presentation within which she covered GAO’s role of supplying independent and unbiased analysis to optimize the vast homeland security enterprise.

Specifically, Ms. Berrick spoke to GAO’s mission, sources of work, client engagement processes, its results ratio, and portfolio of DHS work.  Regarding the relationship between DHS and GAO, Ms. Berrick said, “DHS understands that earnestly collaborating with us translates into accurate reports and sound recommendations.” 

"The GAO plays a critical role in our Nation’s system of checks and balances. Ms. Berrick’s presentation will substantively aid us in our role as an objective and reliable source of homeland security analysis,” said Robert Edson, Analytic Services Vice President of Enterprise Development.
