Vice President, Intelligence Technologies Group
As Vice President for Intelligence Technologies, Mr. Nate Copeland leads a portfolio business providing systems engineering and integration, program management, intelligence operations, and training support to Intelligence, Civil Federal, and Defense clients. He is an inclusive executive experienced in all aspects of business winning, business management, and leading high-performing teams. Additionally, he is a champion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership development.
Nate served as Chief Operating Officer and then President of InTec, LLC before the 2021 ANSER acquisition.
Prior to joining InTec, Nate was the Senior Director of Business Development for Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) at BAE Systems, Inc. Specifically, he led business winning activities in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) analytic and training activities. He also developed and managed a qualified GEOINT pipeline of opportunities across the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and Federal Civil Government markets.
Before BAE, Nate served 19 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. There he developed and led a portfolio business in GEOINT analytic services within NGA (and its predecessor organizations). He served as corporate PM on each of NGA’s analytic contracts, supported two enterprise-wide contracts, and led capture and execution for contracts within the NGA College. Additionally, Nate received Booz Allen’s coveted Diversity Award, recognizing his individual and executive contributions. His passion for team leadership led to an 18-month appointment to lead a firm-wide campaign on Frontline Leadership to rejuvenate the leadership culture of the firm.
Starting his career in the military, Nate served as an Air Force Imagery Intelligence Officer in multiple assignments, including as an Air Force Departmental Requirements Officer; as Chief, Imagery Division at Headquarters, United States Central Command (Rear) during Operation Desert Storm; as an analyst for Headquarters Air Force; and as an intelligence analyst and exploitation manager at the 548th Reconnaissance Technical Group on Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
Nate serves on the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF.org) Board of Directors and is a life member of both the USGIF and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP), received a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, and holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Shenandoah University.
Nate is very active in supporting families with special needs, as a volunteer worship leader at family retreats and an Advisory Board member for Joni and Friends Ohio (JoniandFriends.org). He also serves as a volunteer co-director of special needs programs in his church.
