ANSER Expands Analytic Footprint With Innovative Analytics & Training (IAT) Acquisition

Acquisition integrates IAT’s data collection, information analysis and proprietary validation methods with ANSER’s proven track record of solving the government’s toughest problems to better serve the nation

Falls Church, VA., July 2, 2018 – Analytic Services Inc. (ANSER), a public service research institute organized as a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to informing decisions that shape the nation’s future, today announced it has acquired Maryland-based Innovative Analytics & Training (IAT), a company that provides advanced analytic methods for data collection, information analysis and decision making to the U.S. Intelligence Community. Through this acquisition, represented by the law firm of Holland & Knight, ANSER gains additional analytic depth and breadth as well as access to a new business sector.

IAT provides the Intelligence Community with the operational support and training needed to define issues, identify alternatives, and make critical decisions. Their extensive experience and advanced analytic methods and training help clients successfully develop creative and sustainable data collection, information analysis, and decision-making processes. Clients are also able to utilize IAT’s proprietary validation methods and global network of data sources to enhance their independent research findings. With this acquisition, ANSER blends its government problem-solving heritage with IAT’s data and information analysis expertise to advance the company’s “for purpose public service” mission.

“As a not-for-profit, ANSER maintains its legacy of public service through objective analysis and thought leadership independent of commercial influences and those of outside financial stakeholders,” said Carmen Spencer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ANSER. “This acquisition gives us greater depth and breadth of data and information analysis expertise as it applies to a specific sector of the federal government. That knowledge when applied more broadly, will enable us to better advise our government clients about the range of solutions at their disposal, thereby enhancing the value we deliver. This acquisition represents our continued commitment to deliver informed decisions that shape the nation’s future.”

Keeping all positions intact, IAT will continue to provide analytic and relevant expertise to their clients from ANSER’s location in Falls Church, VA. ANSER also has an office in Colorado Springs, CO. Through these physical locations ANSER is now doing work across 44 States. Looking ahead, this acquisition not only diversifies and enhances the company’s offerings, but leverages economies of scale to make them available at a much lower and more competitive price point.

“ANSER’s acquisition of IAT joins two very similar cultures while continuing to build and diversify ANSER’s analytic offerings,” said Kevin O’Connell, President and CEO of IAT. “This is a great opportunity for the IAT staff to continue their superb support to existing clients while simultaneously gaining access to more opportunities, as well as analytic capability and expertise. This is a great day for IAT because it will help us continue to have a positive impact on helping our government customers fulfill their missions.”
